The Green Revolution Association, founded in March 2009, is the first non-governmental urban ecology organization in Romania, which puts into practice the measures that are the basis of building a “green” city. Green Business Index (GBI) is a multi-year project of the Green Revolution Association, initiated in 2010, with the objective of improving the environmental performance of Romanian companies. GBI measures the sustainability of Romanian companies year after year, following, first of all, how they optimize their policies, practices and processes to make the transition to a green, circular business model. The Green Business Index 2015 awards were won by companies that demonstrated during the reporting year that they mobilized their resources and managed their businesses in such a way as to ensure long-term prosperity and profitability, taking into account social and environmental aspects in the development plan.
